Background
Originally from
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Parva graduated
Magna Cum Laude from Westminster College and
received his medical degree from Temple
University School of Medicine. Graduating in
the top 10% of his class, Dr. Parva was elected
as a member of the medical honor society, Alpha
Omega Alpha. He performed his General Surgery
Residency at Temple University Hospital and his
Plastic Surgery Residency at Indiana University
Medical Center. Dr. Parva was also a Plastic
Surgery Research Fellow at the University of
Pittsburgh.
Philosophy
Our staff understands that
aesthetic and reconstructive surgery can be a
valuable tool to enhance self-image. Physical
appearance — a significant part of self-image
— changes for everyone as we age and as we
are exposed to the environment and its
stresses; mothers experience physical change
with each pregnancy. Dr. Parva believes that a
patient should choose to improve quality of
life when seeking to restore or enhance
physical qualities through aesthetic surgery.
Our self-image, he feels encompasses spiritual
values, attitudes and social relationships in
addition to physical appearance. Therefore, he
is committed to listening to you and to
understanding your desires and expectations. By
providing a compassionate, caring environment
in which a patient can explore options for
aesthetic surgery, Dr. Parva guides his
patients toward informed decisions, which, in
his experienced hands, will provide the best
possible outcome.
Credentials
Dr. Parva is Board
Certified by the American Board of Plastic
Surgery. He is a member of the American Society
of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of
Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a past
president of the Loudoun County Medical Society
and a member of the Medical Society of
Virginia. Dr. Parva serves as chairman of
the Division of Plastic Surgery at INOVA
Loudoun Hospital and is on the medical staff at
INOVA Loudoun, Reston and INOVA Fair Oaks
Hospitals. Additionally, he performs
surgery at Countryside Ambulatory Surgery
Center and Reston Surgery Center.
Personal
Dr. Parva and his wife have
three wonderful children and have made Loudoun
County, Virginia their home since 1997.
Community Activities
Dr. Parva is a
past board member of Life Line Pregnancy Center
in Leesburg, Virginia.
